Cytogenetics

Cytogenetics is essentially a branch of genetics but is also a part of cell biology/cytology (a subdivision of human anatomy), that is concerned with how the chromosomes relate to cell behavior, particularly to their behavior during mitosis and meiosis. Techniques used include karyotyping, analysis of G-banded chromosomes and other cytogenetic banding techniques” Our clinic offers cytogenetics services which consist on the determination of chromosomal diseases using culture of blood samples, skin tissues, amniotic fluid and pregnancy abortion materials for diagnostic purpose at prenatal and postnatal stages. Following operations are done at cytogenetics lab.
